Being rich from not being rich seems to involve a lot of luck. I am excluding those who were exceptional since they were kids or live in a “rich” environment. If they are not rich yet, they will soon be because they already have gold mines that can be dug anytime. I am talking about normal people who have normal abilities who are not expected to achieve anything because they never had in their life.

I think the normal people need to stop following “proven” paths to become rich because all the gold mines along the “proven” paths are already taken by exceptional people. Doing that only helps bolster the already big egos of the exceptional people.

Instead, the normal people should start hacking, finding cracks in the world. What are these cracks? I do not know. However, I see them a lot in the software. I think there should be a new job title called “gold digger” (and possibly remove bad connation of the word) who will spend hours and hours to simply sit down and find problems in the world. The only caveat is that we do not know if it will ever work. Are we desperate enough to try the full of uncertainty?
