Lets imagine you come back from work, feeling extremely tired and sad, possibly from an unfair treatment by your supervisor at work. You sigh every minute, and upon entering your own dark room, you close the curtain and barely summon enough energy to turn on a tiny yellow light attached to your bed frame. You choose yellow light because the white light wakes you up too much, pulling you back into a cold, moldy reality. You worry about your gloomy future and endlessly stacking worries on your shoulders. After a minute, you tell yourself, “I am depressed,” “This is it for me.”
If you are in this situation, then maybe it is not the life that sucks. Maybe, the life feels like an end because you are so mentally weak. This is good news because the problem is actually much smaller than you have previously thought. Before, you had to take a time machine, fix all the mistakes you’ve made, make up all the relationships that you’ve ruined, and study ever hard to enroll not just a prestigious university, but a prestigious community with full of hope and pride, so that you never have to worry about your future. However, the thing is, you do not need any of that. You just need to be mentally strong. If you lose your job, just get another one. If your best friends betray you, just find another one. If you don’t have any money, go out and get some. Since when did we have to prepare our life so far in advance? I know friends who are so severely depressed because of one ruined relationship, while other friends are staying passionate and alive even under a brutal domestic violence happening at this moment. How ironic is that? It is a simple shift of thought that can make a big impact in your life. Decide to become mentally strong and your subconscious will follows. Your life will never be the same.
