I need to take more risk

For a long time, I was a firm believer that if I stare at one problem for long enough, I can solve it; any problem including money. This might apply differently for different people. In my parents’ time, it was never about money. Anyway, I sat down on a desk and thought really hard about how to make money. It was extremely boring, but I tried many times and hours.

After long hours, I came up exactly with whatever YouTube videos creators are advertising: (1) reseller, (2) power blogger, and (3) freelancer. I checked how much they make and realized it was same as a regular job: only the top 1% is making a dream life. This is not what I wanted. I wanted to spend only one hour after work and double the money I make from the current work.

Then, I realized I can only come up with these ideas because I wanted zero risk. I didn’t want to lose anything from my side both in money and time. At the same time, I wanted to take everything. From this flow of ideas, I learned that I was a risk averse person. Many more opportunities become thinkable if I decide to take a leap of faith. I could become a startup founder with not-so-fancy products. I could immediately start on stock trading or sell products that I make with 3D printers. To do that, I need to start taking more risk on my side. Then, I will be able to see what is possible.
